First rule is that you get what you pay for, if you are getting an absolute bargain and paying $20 then you can be pretty sure you are buying rubbish.
Most people selling fake copies will avoid putting real photos, they will use professional photos of the shirt so you wont see that what you are buying is no good. They will usually be from Asia and I dont want to be to harsh on them because most will tell you that they are copies. Also they will always sell 2 sizes, M or XL. If you wear S or L thats a bonus cause they dont seem to make them.
Dont be fooled by Nike tags, even fakes come with Nike tags. A half useful indication of a fake is no 'nike sphere dry' on the front bottom, but even some fakes come with this sticker but on the back. Also check for difference in colour between the side panels and the middle ones, originals are all one colour, you cant have a shirt with 2 similar yellow colours, they should be the same. Also look at the number, a lot of them come with Brazil type green, Australia uses a darker green . Some sellers will even use Brazil style numbers, the number style of Brazil might be similar to Australia's but its not the same.
When doing a search, try searching for Australia Nike or Socceroos Nike, see how many matches you get. Most sellers have a concience and will not put Nike in the title because they know Nike didnt make it. Although you will get some guys who dont care will still have a go.
And finally, ask them in what country is was made in. Im 100% sure that only the ones made in Indonesia are the authentic ones. Also inside size information should be in black for home shirts, inside shirt, near collar. Stick to Indonesia ones. The player ones were made in Portugal.
