Stop a pimple forming ( and minimize redness ) by placing tow crushed ice cubes in plastic sandwich bag and holding it against the blemish for 3 minutes, several times a day. Apply benzoyl peroxide immediately after each " ice treatment ".
Wake up with a Big red bump --- or an insightly whited-capped pimple that concealer won't hide? Don't prick open the cap. You can cause further infection, possible scarring. Instead, help deflate the pimple and lessen the redness by steaming clean skin for 5 minutes: Boil 4 pints of water and pour into a large bowl ( don't get too close ). Then saturate a cotton ball with very warm salt water ( mix 1 teaspoon salt into 1 pint water ). Hold cotton against pimple for 2 to 5 minutes ( repeat treatment during the day ). Eventually, the cap wil disappear into thr blemish.
Don't use foundation or concealer on an " open " pimple- one whose white cap has been dislodged. Instead, dot on a minimal amount of tinted medication to conceal.
