WATCH OUT FOR "NEW"!!

Some sellers sift through piles of used lego and fish out stuff that looks okay, then sell it as "new" lego.  However, this typically has a poorer appearance than brand new pieces.  Looking at the seller's feedback comments will usually reveal if they are doing this.  I guarantee that all the NEW lego I sell is straight from the factory and never played with.

THE QUALITY OF USED LEGO

Often sellers will flog off any old stuff, and it is difficult to tell from the picture whether it is in good shape or not.  I bought a lego pirate boat once and several pieces were broken, the limbs on the figures were loose and pieces were stained by exposure to the sun.  It's not something I would have sold, and that's the sort of thing you clearly want to avoid.  Again, buying NEW lego removes this possibility, but if you are buying second hand you're best off buying from someone with a good feedback score and comments.

WATCH OUT FOR RETURN POLICIES AND GUARANTEES

Most sellers view their responsibilities ending when the item is posted.  While this is most often okay, occasionally items are lost in the post or arrive in unsuitable condition.  Always contact the seller prior to leaving feedback.  Personally, I guarantee that your purchase will arrive and you will be satisfied, or you receive a full refund.  That covers items being lost in the post as well.  Note that I have found the post to be very reliable and have only ever lost one parcel.  It's always worth checking your seller's return / refund policy prior to buying.

HOW TO GET THE BEST DEAL

It's best to shop around, of course.  But when it comes to quality, you're always best off going for brand new lego.  Prints will be intact, windows will be crystal clear, minifigure limbs will be tight.  THat's what you'll get in my shop...top quality at low prices.
