When buying effects pedals watch out for the "true bypass" feature. Most mainstream pedals that are cheap dont have this feature, that is, when the effect is off your guitar signal does not totally pass through the pedal untouched. This can become an issue when using multiple pedals that dont have this feature and you want maximum performance from your rig.
