The iPod is the ultimate gadget for all users of music, photos or videos. Go for the largest hard drive as you will easily fill 20 gb with just a few photos or videos. It is also a good idea to use the highest setting (320 kbps) to store your songs as you get a much better sound quality. Don't go below 192 kbps as it sounds awful! If you just want a few songs one of the nano iPods will do. But iPods are very addictive and you will expand your library quickly. The resale value of a larger harddrive is also much better. If you buy a second hand iPod check the condition of the battery as they are very expensive to replace and it is a real hassle if you only get 2 hours with each recharge. Try also to buy an iPod that still has some warranty (less than 12 month old). The Apple warranty is transferable to the new owner, so no problems with second hand iPods. Make sure that all accessories are included. If you can get an iPod with music pre loaded you need some special software to be able to keep the music in your iTunes library. Check with Twocows for some of the latest software. Look also if the listings includes some extras like an FM radio as you can Listen to FM radio on your iPod and control everything with a convenient wired remote. You also get a set of earphones with a shorter cable that is a perfect fit for the remote. on your iPod and control everything with a convenient wired remote. Get also the latest software update from the Apple web site to get the best performance from your iPod. And please take good care of your hearing. The volume limiter is a really good idea as an iPod at maximum volume can easily damage your hearing! Enjoy your iPod!
