Bargain Tips

When purchasing off ebay you need to undertand there are alot of people out the looking for the same thing as you. Some have deeper pockets than you, other just are that keen for the same item that you have no hope in hell getting a bargain. I have been on ebay for some years now and I got sick of payng good money just so I could have that item. Patients is the answer. Sure there are some exceptions where the item is a one off or you dont need to pay postage but patients is the answer to getting that bargain that when you tell your friends they laugh and call you a liar. For example I want say a set of speakers for my car. I know because I have done my research I can get a decent pair for say $50 at the shops but I want to pay only $20 for the same quality. There is a seller on ebay who has a few sets on Ebay  and I have one on watch. I have researched on ebay and found that seller to be the one I feel most comfortabe buying from. I put the next set going off on my watched items. I watch that set only to find that they go off for say $70. Do not despair there are pleanty more fish in the sea. Patients. I put the next set on watch and so on and so forth until there is a set that has missed the attention of those nasty people stopping me from getting that bargain. Remember that it used to be Sundays that you where sure to get a bargain on ebay but soon everyone reolised this and what happened? Sunday is now the most productive day for sellers. There is no sure fire day that you can get a bargain but if you are willing to wait, it may take a day or it may take a month but you will get one. I recently got a set of Golf clubs for $5 and the guy dropped them off at my door! I got a set of mags for $26 and spent 20 minutes in the car to collect them! Another good idea is look at items that go off on a week night around 11 to 12pm. Ebayers like to put a final bid on an item before they go to bed. Now that ebayer might get up the next morning for work refreshed but for the sake of an hour or two's lost sleep sometimes you can sneek in and bump the bid up without being contested or only having to deal with one or two ebayers fighting for the same item. I recently purchased a mobile phone for $37 including postage! The item was located in W.A and went off at 3am. As W.A is 3 hours behind the seller did not put into account the rest of Australia would have that item going off at such a late time. Phone works great and others are selling the same mobiles on Ebay at peak times for around $150. I may have been stuffed next day but hey what a bargain! Also first timers selling on ebay are a good bargain point. Alot of ebayers do not trust someone with no feedback or low feedback but remember we were all the at one point. If you put your trust in these ebayers and Ebay itself you might be surprised on what you can get items for. I have more problems with sellers who have been selling for some time than new comers. New Ebays are so keen to get there feedback as good as possible so you know they will most of the time do the best by there purchasers. Remember you where the same when you first started.

Postage is the next issue I would like to cover. All ebayers are a little tired of really high postage costs. But if you email the seller prior to the item going off and sound as if you are waving fists of money in there face you will be surprised. Alot of people if they really want the item sold for a decent price will get back to you with a discount. Do not I repeat DO NOT sound agro or pesky but as if you are just a buyer who has the funds to push that items price up to a good price. Most seller will think well I have offered that person a discount postage price but if there pockets are not as deep as other ebayers who are prepaired to pay the full postage cost then the seller is going to be making a greater profit. Then you go to the most you can afford and if you win atleast you have got the postage to a price you are comfortable paying. Just remember Ebay is one big shopping complex. There are bargains to be had but you need to invest time and remember nearly all of Australia and the world are shopping at the same store as you.
