Do NOT buy the cheap pit and quad bikes off ebay. My family has owned a motorbike business for well over 10 years now, and in the last couple of years, we have had ENDLESS amounts of people that have bought cheap, inferior quality bikes off ebay and come in asking for parts. Dealers CANNOT get parts for 99% of these bikes.
Almost all the people that come in say that the parts that they are requesting were damaged within the first half hour of riding their new bike...this is simply not good enough. Most of the ebay sellers offer all these fantastic deals on warranty and claim to stock all parts, but being a dealer, we have tried to follow these up and found it to be literally impossible.
You would not believe the build quality of these things, its unbelievably bad. We have had customers come in and say that the suspension components broke the second their kids sat on them, or that they received the bike with tyres that simply wouldn't pump up. Almost every part on these bikes are cheap and break within the first few months (if your lucky for it to last THAT long).
Without this sounding like a sales pitch, you are SO much better buying a well known pit bike or quad from a trusted dealer, rather than buying a bike thats brand name you cant even pronounce off a guy off the back of his truck. If you buy from a shop, they'll supply some kind of warranty, and have parts backup and technical support.
You really DO get what you pay for...
