I started out buying almost compulsively on ebay before I started selling. Who out there finds ebay addictive !!?? I know I do, but a few of my excited auction winning moments turned sour when I received something not quite right. Yes, unfortunately a lot of us know how that feels.

So, in an attempt to improving your buying experience, here are some guides:

1) Read the entire auction: Yes, I know, the payment terms etc can be boring, but they are there for a reason. Imagine if you bid on item only to find that the seller only accepts money orders when you were planning to pay using Paypal or bank deposit. Not only will it take extra time for the seller to receive payment, but it will ultimately end up costing you more after you purchase the money order.

2) Check description thoroughly: Somtimes items have faults, even new items. Imagine how you would feel spending over $100 on that "must have" dress only to find that it has a rip on the side. But it was brand new !! The fault was mentioned in the auction, had you read it you probably wouldn't have bid right ??!!

3) Check postage costs: What is the post amount ? If the seller hasn't included it, it's a good idea to ask. Imagine winning an item for $5.00 only to find the post is going to be $20 !! OUCH !! That bargain isn't so great anymore hey !!

4) Check the seller's feedback: It's there so we can make an informed decision based on other buyers experiences. Yes, you can't please everyone and a few neutrals or negs here and there isn't the worst thing in the world, but imagine how safe you would feel buying from a seller who had a 100 feedback score with 40 negs !! No thanks !!
