HOW TO PUT YOUR HAIR UP WITH HAIR PICKS / PINS
Here is another way to put your hair up! This is really one of the easiest ways to do it - especially with three or four prongs which gives extra grip. I recently had my hair cut, and am unable to do my former favourite messy bun with a hair stick, so I had to find a new hairpin that worked on my super straight and slippery hair! This is one of the easiest ones for me with shorter hair, just past my shoulders. Try it for yourself and see...
2.Transfer twisted ponytail to left hand, and position the twisted hair vertically going up the head... Find the bulge of the beginning of the twist at the bottom with the right hand...
3. Grab the bulging bit between the thumb and forefinger.
4. Slowly draw the bulging bit up and over the twisted ponytail making a French Roll type of effect. Keep going until you get to the top. At the top you can leave the ends coming out if you like it messy like me, or tuck them in to be neat...
5. Holding your hair in place with the left hand, take the pick in the right hand and point the prongs upwards, slowly taking a thin layer of hair as you go upwards, making sure that only a thin layer of hair is held by the prongs, as too much will make the next step difficult...
6. Turn the pick so that its top is positioned at the top, angle the prongs to go downward...
7. With the prongs now going downwards, push the pick down through the rest of the hair at the back of the head at an angle...

9. View of side...
10. Add another hair pin for decoration and added stability!
