Elecampane is used for specific irritating bronchial coughs, may be used for children specially when lots of catarral mucous are formed.It can alleviate asthma and bronchial asthma. Bitter qualities enhance the digestion and stimulates appetite.
preparation and dosage:
Infusion: pour 3 cups of cold water onto 3 teaspoons of the root, let it soak for 8-10 hours. Heat up and take up to 3 times a day.
Epilobium
Epilobium parviflorum
Family: onagraceae
Epilobium might help in reducing inflammation. It is used to help in the treatment of prostate enlargement, its actions inhibit the production and release of prostaglandin 12.
Eyebright Wildcraft
Euphrasia officnalis
Family: Scrophulariaceae (Snapdragon)

Other name: Euphrasia
Eyebright as its name indicates, is the most recommended herb for eye ailments: eyestrains, eye inflammation, stinging and weeping eyes, oversensitivity to light. May relieve sore, runny and itchy eyes due to cold or allergies. Eyebright properties are anti-inflammatory, astringent, anti-catarrhal. It is excellent for treatment of the mucous membrane.
Preparation and dosage:
Infusion: 1 teaspoon of the dried herb for 1 cup of water, leave to infuse 10 mn, drink 3 times per day.
compress: 1 teaspoon of the dried herb to infuse in 1/2 a liter of water, boil gently for 10 min, let cool to just warm and moisten a cotton ball, leave the compress in place for 15 minutes, repeat several times a day. Can be used on animals as well.
Fennel Seeds

Indications:
Fennel seeds antispasmodic abilities may relive coughs and bronchitis. May increase the effectiveness of antibiotic drugs. Fennel seeds relax the digestive system, may help expell gas, reducing intestinal muscles spasms, may improve colic in infants. Fennel seeds increase the milk flow in nursing mothers.

Infusion: 1 or 2 teaspoon of crushed seeds for 1 cup of water, leave to infuse for 10 min. Drink 3 times daily. For flatulence (gas) take a cup 1/2 hour prior to meals.
