Hi and welcome to another of our Guides.
We constantly ask ourselves this same question when sourcing our items.
When we first started selling on eBay we used to look for the following:
1. Does the seller start their items at 99 cents with no reserve?
2. Does the seller offer combined postage and handling?
3. Does the seller offer 7 - 10 days to combine items to save on postage and handling?
4. Is the seller's items within Australia?
5. Does the seller offer a variety of payment methods?
6. Does the seller offer a refund if item is broken or not as described?
If the answer is YES to all of the above we would then look at the following:
1. Does the seller have 200 or more items listed at any time?
2. Are the combined postage rates reasonable?
3. Does the seller have a feedback rating of 98% or higher and a feedback score of 1,000 or more?
If the answer is YES to all of the above we would then look at the following:
1. Can I resell these items and make a profit?
2. Is it worth my time and effort to resell?
If the answer is YES to all of the above we would then start bidding with this seller.
If you answered NO to "any" of the above points look for another seller or contact the seller directly through "ask seller a question".
Do your homework before buying if you are planning to resell.
Best of luck eBaying!
