As a guide towards postage these dolls can be shipped in a padded bag - provided their eyes are protected by bubble wrap.  However a lot of collectors prefer to have them shipped in a box.  When shipping try and get the smallest box possible.  A My Child doll weighs approx 500 gr - or 1 lb (naked) - allowing for a box and packaging - the most you should pay for a reasonably packaged doll is about 1kg or 2 - 2.5 lbs.  If a seller is asking for more than this, ask for lighter box etc.  Sellers who advertise that the doll will ship at approx 4 lbs are using a much too large box.
