NO. Though right now you might be using the same network you might want to change in three month? Especially since you can take your mobile number to any carrier.

Getting a locked mobile network unlocked can cost as much as nothing (very rare) to about $80 plus.

Although it might be 10% to 30% cheaper to buy if you cannot use it is just a paper wieght.

Furthermore late model mobile phones CANNOT BE UNLOCKED for about a year after release even with unlock software that proliferate the internet and ebay.

Even if your phone is older and can be unlocked you will need a special unlock cable and software or send your phone away costing time and about $40 to $90 if it can be unlocked.
