Does it comply with Australian Standards?

All child restraints used in Australia must comply with current Australian Safety Standards AS 1754.

Child Restraints must have the Australian Standards mark as shown above.

If the child restraint does not have this mark.  Do not buy it, use it, or sell it.

One of the main features of which is the use of a rear tether strap to an anchor point. 

Many of the overseas car seats do not have this strap.

Australian child restraint standards are some of the most stringent in the world and most overseas child restraints do not comply with these standards and cannot legally be used in Australia - this includes restraints from countries such as the UK and USA and any overseas country.
