There are many motorbikes of all sorts to be had but the HAYABUSA is one that intrigues many. When it was released in 1999 and many ad's appeared featuring the Copper/Silver colour scheme it raised many an eyebrow.

Some commented "Wow that's one ugly machine". Perhaps because it was so unique. It looked so different then most bikes of it's time. It looked like a "Beast". At least these were my first impressions. But of course what drew the crowds around the HAYABUSA was the fact that it was the fastest production motorcycle ever made, well over 300 klm/h and stock standard. Needless to say I had to have one. I have had one since Nov '99 and have never looked back. The colour scheme grew on me and quite literally fell in love with it. I have been riding well over 30 years and frankly got bored with motorbikes and wanted to be re-invigorated. The Hayabusa most certainly did that for me. Even after 7 years every time I get on it I'm excited. This is one bike that I will never sell.

Now onto some practical advise for anyone considering one. Firstly I dont recommend the bike to those that have little experience on the road. Its a bike that can quickly get you into trouble. You will want to have a mature attitude respecting what this bike is capable of and act accordingly. I would say it is best to have at least 3-5 years road experience before getting one. Woman ride busas too, I know a few that ride them.

Some items often appearing here in Ebay for sale like the TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator). Many who have the restricted (speed) models like to install them as it fools the onboard computer that your still in 5th gear even though your in 6th. There are many 'Bling' parts that can bought for the bike enhancing its appearance, some are good quality some well not that good.

My 'Bling' are Remus cans, Tobin seat, Scorpio Alarm, Speedohealer, Supervox Stealth sprocket 43 tooth and many other little items.

Here is a pic of my "Beast"

If you found at least some of the information in my guide helpful, or even if you just got a cheap thrill reading and would love to have a busa, please vote on its helpfulness below. Thanx
