I just want to share some info and pics on how to spot Fake Tiffany & Co jewellry. I know theres alot of guides out there already with great info, but here is my 2 cents worth so what happens to me doesnt happen to another innocent buyer.

Little did i realise HOW MANY fake Tiffany & Co items are being sold here on Ebay, especially ones sellling from Australia. There are a few honest sellers out there, but after looking at the listings now, 95% of the items selling on EBAY are fake! Any one that says that it is Brand New and are selling it starting price less than $80, its going to be a fake. 

Why would someone buy a brand new T&C necklace and say silver doesnt suit them, or they got it for a present and its not their style. Tiffany & Co is a very stylish item for those who are fashion minded, if i received it for a present theres no way i'd say its not my style!

I bought a Fake Return to Tiffany Heart Tag Necklace for $122.50, they retail in Australia for $305, so i thought to be a real bargain for the real thing! I was wrong when i spent two minutes doing some research online. Just GOOGLE 'Tiffany & Co fakes' then you will get heaps of info on this. IMPORTANT TO DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST BEFORE BIDDING!!

First of all, i bid on the item, won it, next day paid for it. Then for some reason i did my research to see if it might be a fake, i know its stupid, should have done it before i paid for the item! I just googled it, and found many sites selling the fake Tiffany & Co jewellery imitations, saying its authentic stock on sale! CRAP, Tiffany & Co NEVER HAVE SALES, you can ONLY buy AUTHENTIC items through their store, www,tiffany.com

Then i read through all the guides on Ebay on 'How to spot Fake T&C items" and thats when my suspicions on the item i just bought were confirmed.

The item picture was one from the tiffany.com website. ANY listing that uses a picture from the Tiffany & Co website does not want to take a CLOSE-UP picture of the ACTUAL item they are selling. So ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE you BID not AFTER!!! Ask to see a CLOSE UP pic of the item, if they say they dont have one, camera broken etc DO NOT BID! They are hiding something. The item i won also had a picture of the packaging and necklace which was ssoooooo small that there was no way to tell what the necklace looked like???!!

After i bought the FAKE T&C, i then bought i real one from T&C website, i decided to spend the extra $200 for something that will last and not turn black and i will not be ASHAMED of wearing! I compared the two. Here are pics below:

BEWARE though, many people are now selling just AUTHENTIC pouches and boxes, so it will be harder to distinguish a fake and real item now unfortunately.

Note: Today i went to Chinatown in Sydney and almost ALL the stalls were selling FAKE Tiffany jewellery, from the open heart to the toggle necklaces and bracelets! I couldnt believe that they were allowed to sell them so freely as if they wernt doing anything wrong. Although get this - they were selling the necklaces for $15 and the bracelets for $10!! So now i know how much money they make from those who are unsuspecting on Ebay. Some people pay hundreds of dollars for what they sell at the markets for $10!  

Look at the writing on the fake heart to the right, it doesnt even complete the ‘O’ on CO!

Compare everything! The Authentic is made of high quality fabrics, The inscriptions are much more clearer and deeply inscribed. If seller does not show pics close up like these do not BID!!!
