So you're shopping for new baby items ey? or perhaps browsing through for decent second hand stuff in the hope to save a few bucks...

Well my friend...you are not alone!

Like many new mums or dads to-be, you are probably swamped with a never ending list of items to buy from books, publications, well meaning friends who dont have babies, and a nagging mother in law who insist you own a Mexican pregnancy bolo boho - whatever it's called - ball around your neck to protect your unborn child from spirits.

Whatever the case may be - shopping for your baby should be an enjoyable and ticklish event. Finding that special 'first' outfit, or a beatiful bassinett for your little one to rest is so special, and can be even more rewarding if you dont have to spend much.

As cliched as it sounds, babies really do grow out of their first wardrobe and furniture so quickly, you are bound to half-regret or wonder why you bothered to spend so much in the first place if you bought everything new. 

Even more to the point is that once your baby arrives, you are thrust into a wonderful and fast new world that revolves solely around feeds, nappy changes and extreme sleep deprivation that the last thing you worry about is if the babys singlet was new or not!

So? Where do you start? What can be bought second hand, and what shouldnt?

I've come up with a simple list in order of priority, along with links of where you may find usch items on ebay, which I hope makes your shopping easier :)

1. Your baby's FOOD - Breast feeding / Bottle feeding

• If you choose to breast feed, you will find that it is not, in many cases, all that pleasant to establish - hence the number of products available to help make it as easy as possible.
• A proper supporting Maternity bra is an absolute must.
