I was just reading the information on West German vases and although informative it neglected to say
what the underneath number is for. I am constantly asked (as I am a part time collector). The number always refers to the height of the vase! Simple as that!
So now when you see one on the internet you love and it doesnt have a description of height etc, check for a
photo of the bottom of the vase and you will know instantly!
