Hi there are alot of people buying phones of ebay so I just thought I would tell you a few things about how to tell a real phone from a fake phone so you can make sure you are getting your moneys worth.

These are a few of my tips to tell a fake phone.

1) Take off the back cover and check that the battery has an authentic hologram sticker.

2) Write down the model number (RM-xxx) and IMEI number written on the sticker under the battery. Power up the phone and check the IMEI by pressing *#06# and the model number by pressing *#0000# and ensure that it all matches up.

3) The main feature that gives away a fake is the lack of GPS. Enter the Maps application and ensure that it will at least get a GPS lock. Under Options, check the satellite status to see if there is any GPS action going on.

4) Finally, a lot of fakes have a touch screen. An authentic N95 does NOT have a touch screen.
