It's always dissapointing when you list an item at 99c, and it sells at 99c.
I have picked up some bargains on eBay, (unfortuantely for the sellers) due to the lack of understand of a 'good' way of listing the item. Here are some tips on titles to help you list your item in a way that will (hopefully) up the ending price!
- Always put the size in the title. If someone is searching for a bridesmaids dress, they are more likely to search "bridesmaids dress 12" than just "bridesmaids dress".
- Include colours and fabrics in the title if you have room - "blue", "satin" and "beaded" all help out, as a lot of people know what they want, and search quite specifically at first.
- If the item is a specific brand, name it. As I said above, a lot of people know what they are looking for, and aren't afraid to search for it.
- Use multiple terms. Some items are known by different names. What one may call a bridesmaids dress, others might call a formal dress or a ball gown.
- Use all the characters eBay gives you. If you make use of all 55 characters allowed, the chances of your item showing up in a search are higher.
- Don't use terms people won't search. The likelyhood that someone is going to search using the term "fit for a princess" or "only worn for 3 hours" is slim to none, so don't waste precious characters with terms like these.
Using my tips above, a Size 12 "Mr K" brand formal dress could be listed as:
Mr K - Light Blue Satin Formal Dress Ball Gown - 12 NEW
This utilises all 55 allowed characters.
I hope these tips have been beneficial to you!
HAPPY LISTING!
