When buying USB memory sticks on eBay make sure you buy namebrand. I had funny experiences with Chinese / HK sellers. The first guy had a strange payment setting and did not accept escrow. So I ended up cancelling the order.
The second guy advertised USB 2.0 at 2GB for a decent price. When the item arrived it turned out that the bus speed was only USB 1.1 and the chip had been rigged such that it looked like 2GB but effectively it had only 128MB on it.

So - make sure you buy name brand. If not, at least check the speed of the device and make sure the memory checks out ok.

Happy eBaying,
