After helping my girlfriend plan her wedding which is coming up very soon, I thought it might be helpful to share my ideas in the hope of making it a bit easier for other brides-to-be.

1.   If you have one or five bridesmaids, instead of giving gifts to each of them on your special day, why not buy their shoes for the wedding or jewellery for them to wear, thus reducing unnecessary extra costs.

2.   As Maid of Honour try buy little things the bride may overlook i.e. her garter and throw-away garter, a guest sign-in book, a cake knife set for the wedding cake. Best place for new but inexpensive items such as these I found on ebay.

3.   If you find hiring a photographer for the day, why not buy a disposable camera for each of your guests tables at the reception. Your guests become your photographers, its fun and inexpensive way to remember your special day. There are some bargains on ebay where you can actually buy decorated disposable cameras for around $80 for 10 cameras.
