NEVER.. spray lubricant such as Innox, CRC,WD40 ETC on your mig wire, It might give it a protective coating but will give you wire feed problems at the drive rolls by slipping and gum up inside your liner, The answer is to place aborbant satchels from Tablet bottles etc in the wire feed unit or remove from machine and wrap tightly in a airtight bag and store in a dry place if not using for awhile.
