  • Wait and bid at the last minute:
    It is true that the most "happening " time for any bidding is the last minute. The maximum number of bids are put in at that time. So wait till the last minute. You can also avoid the unneccessary increase in the cost of the item if you refrain from bidding at the beginning of the bidding period.
  • Enter your maximum bid and let the automatic bidder do the work for you:
    It makes sense to place the maximum amount you are willing to spend on the item, as your first bid . You have nothing to loose! The automatic bidder will do the bidding for you.
  • Bid in "odd" amounts :
    Say , the bid increases by $10 and the present bid is $200. You are willing to spend maximum of $300. It is advisable to put in a bid of $301. This will enable you to win by just $1.
