beware cheep atv's. i brought one for my son who has considerable riding experience and ability. firstly cheap price ALWAYS EQUELS CHEAP QUALITY thats right you do get what you pay for. after assembling the quad ( im a mechanic by trade) i let the young fella take it for a spin... within the first 10 mins the needle and seat popped out of the carby causing the throttle to be fully open. at this stage the bike took off at speed causing what could have quite easily been a fatal accident, ie the quad flipped 3 times end for end propelling my son into a barbed wire fence then the quad when it refound its feet sped toward him while he was still stuck in the fence... lucky enough the quad changed direction and tragedy was avoided. when i emailed the ebayer i purchased the quad from i was told it was not his problem no duty of care and responsibility for defective products ... basicly was told get lost. i tried to explain that the carby failed and caused an accident and if it were a new car or a quad from say yamaha the situation would be made right.... all i wanted was a refund (less freight). i was then told under the import laws that he imports these bikes and because they were sold at auction he was not responsible for faulty parts or liable for any damage caused by faulty products.....6 months later i find now the QLD govt has just banned the import of theses cheap bikes from china and VIC is due to follow ... that means if you buy one today there willbe no parts available in a acouple of months as the importing of complete bikes will cease and ordering just one part at a time is prohibitivly expensive. .... my advice stick to the big jap brands yes they cost more but are safer to operate more reliable parts are available.
