ok here we go...

from the start i am a seller on ebay and also i am a buyer.

i tried a little experiment to buy from a hong kong supplier . he sells cameras mobile phones mostly all electronics.

i bought a sony camera for my daughter and with free gifts.

the camera arrived brand new in the box. it is genuine sony....but the gifts are not,,,,the memory stick is made in china,,,sony does not make the memory sticks in china,,,,the sony bag was also a fake,,,

it gets worse ,,,,,FEDEX rang me and told me that CUSTOMS NEED ME TO PAY DUTY AND TAXES,,,it added to be $495.00...

so i rang customs my self,,,,,,,finally got to the right department,,,

and this is what they told me,,,

DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNT OF GOODS COMING INTO AUSTRALIA,,,THEY WILL FLAG  SOME GOODS ( STOP THE GOODS AND CHECK). FOR DUTY TAXES ETC...

IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE UNLUCKY ONES THEN YOU WILL PAY DUTY OR TAXES.

IF YOU DO NOT PAY THEM THEN YOUR PRODUCT AFTER 14 DAYS WILL BE SENT BACK TO THE SUPPLIER.

NOTE SUPPLIERS IN THERE PURCHASES AGREEMENT DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CUSTOMS OR TAX ISSUES IN THE COUNTRY THEY ARE SENT.

ALSO THEY WILL CHECK HOW MANY OTHER ITEMS YOU HAVE BOUGHT FROM OVERSEAS FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS AND BACK CHARGE ME ALL THE TAXES AND DUTY ....ON ALL THE ITEMS I HAVE PURCHASED FROM OVERSEAS...

NO PLEASE BE WARE OF THIS,,,BECAUSE I GOT BURNED ONCE ALREADY,,,
