Turbo Lister won't open, or will not back up?                                                      

Cannot View anything in Turbo Lister 'Design View' or Turbo Lister won't Upload 'Images' and you receive an Error Warning?

Having Problems with eBay's Turbo Lister?

I have encountered problems with Turbo Lister numerous times which eBay's help and support or 'Customer Service' have not been able to help at all with so will run through some of things I have found and the solutions for them:

For Australian's:         I am told by eBay's Customer Support that to date - 22nd / October / 08 that Turbo lister is 'NOT COMPATIBLE' with Microsoft Vista and there is not an updated version of Turbo Lister which will run on Microsoft Vista as yet.... So do not upgrade from Microsoft XP or earlier until problem sorted....

I do run 'Vista' and here are some fixes...
The easy Fix:           The very first thing to do and try is to reinstall 'Turbo Lister' from eBay but make sure if you can open your Turbo Lister first and back up the files...

Go to Computer / Uninstall a program / find Turbo Lister and uninstall it, if asked to delete 'user profile' select NO - then go to eBay and re install it - This usually fixes any corrupt files and Turbo Lister should work again okay, but if you have Microsoft 'Vista' will not work for long!

Once you have re opened the 'New' reinstalled Turbo Lister you will need to select 'file' and 'restore data base' and all should be back as it was....

Cannot view anything in the 'View Design'

This is not a eBay Turbo Lister problem it;s probably because you are running Microsoft 'Vista or upgraded from XP or earlier Microsoft program to Vista.

If you can't see anything in Turbo Lister's 'View Design' you are probably running 'Microsoft Vista' and not one of the earlier Microsoft Operating Systems, like XP or 2000 etc etc....

Microsoft Vista in there wisdom does not come with the program for you to view what is called a 'DHTML' program it's a program which comes with all other Microsoft operating systems and the program is used in viewing webpages!

The reason is 'Vista' does not come with a 'DHTML' program or 'WYSIWYG' Editor.  WYSISYG is short for 'What You See Is What You Get'  It is an Editing program. To fix the problem in your search engine browser 'Type' Microsoft downloads, once webpage opened type in DHTML download, and half way down the page it says ' Download here' Download this program and your T.L. 'Editing - View Design' should work If not,

Go through the same scenario above and type in MS download page 'WYSIWYG' (What You See Is What You Get) And download it... All should work now for you...

Cannot open Turbo Lister?

Print this out if you wish for future reference... Sometimes it appears that there ia a problem with your 'Turbo Lister User File' database in Turbo lister and when clicking the Turbo Lister shortcut on your computer's desktop it will not open!

Follow these instruction to force open Turbo Lister:

Please Note:  that this way will allow you to open turbo lister and regain your Turbo Lister's data files and upload any new listings but because you database id corrupt you will not be able to 'Back Up files' and you'll need to for this everytime to open Turbo Lister - As stated because of your corrupt database.. But at least you can open and change and upload from your old listings...

Click 'Computer' down the left bottom side of your screen and open 'Run'.

In the window it opens in the 'blank box' type    regedit    and click 'okay'.

You are now in your computer's registry.

When the next window opens you will notice a list of things in the pane on the 'left' Click the Left "+" Expand the 'folder' named "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" then expand the folder named 'Software' then 'eBay'.

Click once only on Turbo Lister 2 to highlight it - You will then see some information specific to Turbo Lister 2.... Right Click on 'Default User" and select 'Modify'

Replace the number there (usually 1 or 2) and type in 100 into the 'Value Data' space. Then close all down: Then 'click' to open Turbo Lister in the usual way by either clicking the shortcut icon your computers desktop or from 'Programs and the turbo lister icon'

Turbo Lister Still not working:

There's also another way to save your old Turbo Lister files before 'Deleting' & Re- Installing Turbo Lister by Going to 'My Computer' Selecting 'Program Files' then clicking 'eBay' then move your Turbo Lister files (log) and images from the Turbo Lister Data Base by (Cut & Paste) to your Desktop before uninstalling Turbo Lister then replace them after you re-install the new Turbo Lister from eBay.    But the far easiest way is if you truly don't need your old data base, just delete Turbo Lister and your data base user name and reinsinstal a brand new Turbo Lister download and if you own a store just synchronize all your current items which puts them in Turbo Lister for you and you can then alter and change them for new items to list.
